Panchos Villa in San Antonio

There is no better Mexican food/restaurant I can compare. Their authenticity is just unexplainable, I could go on and on. Their seasonings are the best ever, I give up on looking for any better Mexican restaurant. This place is my choice, by far, always!!!

Pancho’s is a staple for me when I’m in the area! Their salsas and queso are delicious and the service is always great! Definitely worth the wait when they’re busy.

Great food at very reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

This is one of the very best places to eat by far ! You get lots of food and the price is great! Service was very friendly and everyone was so nice .if you get a chance this is the place to go to.it doesnt look like much from the out side and it's a small place but it makes up for its looks by the food you cant go wrong by going here.

Quaint atmosphere with an old santa fe style. Great food. Service is a little slow but food is really good so might just be slow because its crowded. They ARE friendly n helpful .but the food is the big draw here

Pancho's Villa Mexican Restaurant was recommended to us by someone that lives in San Antonio and we are glad we checked it out. The menu had several selections and when our order was brought out it was hot and delicious! Ample portion sizes. A hidden gem for sure! We highly recommend if you are in the mood for Mexican food!

Best place in the area for mexican food. By far. Typical eating times may incur some wait but grab a beer and have a short wait. It will be worth it!

Bad cheap taco meat.. must be mixed with soy it was like dog food... and no seasoning. I sent my sons taco back and.the snippy waitress says "i had it yesterday and it was fine". Mild.salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce... weird. Shrimp hard...rubbery. steak taco good. Beans good. Would not ever go back.

We love this place! Great place for delicious Mexican food! My favorites are their Chimichangas (with cheese sauce on top) and their Hen house tacos. The staff has always been very friendly to us. It's a small building and very popular so you may have a wait during peak times.

Great food! Staff could be much better if not coming across as rushed. Make some time to smile and make 30 seconds of small talk. Food wasn't overpriced. Don't sit by kitchen entrance. A little too crowded at those tables.

I love this place and eat here often. I highly reccomend the food. Even though it all looks the same, no matter what you order, it's all delicious! The reason they only get 4 stars is because of the baskets they bring the chips in. Ug, either they are dirty or they are so old the wires are showing. But the food is great. I guess the baskets just go with the "hole in the wall" decor. Is that authentic Mexican?

Cool little spot. Very busy on a Saturday so be prepared to wait 25-45 min. I will say I felt like my server was all over the place. She was handling multiple tables, putting names down and explaining wait times. Doing too much in my opinion. I sat for a solid ten min without a drink refill but I do not blameHer at all. I think they should hire an actual hostess to have better organization. Food wa great , but my steak taquitos were bland. Steak had no flavor at all. Just seemed it was cooked and not seasoned one bit. Could have been the fryer taking all that seasoning away but the texture was great. Will def be back .

Excellent Mexican food. Fast, friendly service. Even my vegan friend can eat here. I ordered the flauta with chicken. Good sweet tea as well. It is not a big restaurant, so get there early for lunch.

I had a patient tell me about this place and they live about a hour away. I live about a half hour away and am a avid mexican food lover. Panchos villa did not disappoint. They have a excellent taco menu. The restaurant is small and was busy. When my family was waiting for a table we were surprised to see other family of ours show up. Our party of 4 quickly became a party of 10 and the restaurant was kind enough to put us all together. I guess we all have great taste. Highly recommend trying their food.

First time there and was very good. I had steak soft tacos on corn tortillas. Great flavor and portion on the tacos. The free chips and salsa was so fresh it made almost became my whole meal 👍👍 Definitely check it out if you are in San Antonio FL 😎 Becareful, blink and you will miss it.

As expected from it's reputation, the food was to die for!!! Service was top notch. The wait for a table on a Friday night was quoted at 45 minutes, but we're only waited 30. Phenomenal... Worth the drive to the little village of San Antonio!!!!

This is the best Mexican food in Florida. The only place I've had better Mexican food was in Mexico, and that was almost the same as this place. These dudes know what they're doing. They could charge way more than they do, but let the quality of the food speak for itself. This is one of those places that doesn't care about having a fancy place (it's a house converted into a restaurant) they know the food is so good that people will come back. I drive 45 minutes just to eat here, it is that good.

Everything about Poncho's is perfect; the staff, the food, the price. It's easily one of my favorite restaurants. The only downside is no fault of the restaurant and its staff. It's a very small, quiet, cozy place; and some people don't realize that not everyone (pretty much no one) wants to go out for a dinner and have to listen to someone else's annoying children drone throughout the entire restaurant. But I digress....this place is otherwise wonderful.

I frequent Pancho’s Villa because it’s local, no nonsense, and has friendly service. The menu has a wide variety of meals to choose from, as most Mexican restaurants do, but every item on the menu is executed to perfection. I especially gravitate to the sweet and spicy tacos. The combination of mango, jalapeños, and marinated chicken is sublime. This is no ordinary Mexican restaurant...come and see for yourself!

Great place to eat. Food is delicious and they have a daily special also. Portions are generous an priced well. You also get chips and salsa free while waiting for your meal. Our waitress and our wait time were both great.

Did not get what was ordered and didn't taste as good as normal.

The inside of the restaurant is small and crowded. Needs a good deep clean inside. I ordered Sangria, which was straight red wine in ice with one slice of lime in it. Then I ordered the pork tamale with rice and refried beans lunch. The masa was hard and dry, but the pork was flavorful, even though there wasn't much of it. The rice and beans were mediocre, can make it much better at home with canned refried beans. But to top it all off, our waitress had a terrible attitude. She never smiled, and seemed irritated to be there. If you want good Mexican food with nice atmosphere, good service and consistently great food, make the drive to Tampa and visit either Miguel's in South Tampa, or Don Julio's on Bearss ave. I promise you won't be disappointed.

It was good food, staff wasn't to attentive don't know if it's because I was ordering to go food but they could have been more cordial.

This was my first time trying this place and it is the best Mexican I have experienced since I moved to Florida five years ago And I have an extremely picky palate! The customer service was good and the food is very authentic tasting. I had the Big Pancho Burrito with grilled chicken. The chips are fresh and salsa is good! I will be eating Mexican here from now on!
